Sidecar Speedway is one of the most adrenalin fueled sports you can ever imagine. We ventured up to the Victoria and New South Wales border town of Mildura, where apparently 80% of Victoria’s grapes hale from. Mildura is famous for the aforementioned grapes, the River Murray and speedway, be it 2, 3 and 4 wheels. The superstars of world speedway have graced the dirt track of Olympic Park at one time or another and if there is one town that lives and breathes speedway racing it is Mildura. They are a different breed; the people that take part in sidecar racing. The swingers that crawl all over the back and the side of the bike whilst doing upwards of 130km/h, moving their weight around so that the bike doesn’t career off into the walls that surround the track – quite tricky considering the bikes are generally out of control throughout. Crashes are plentiful; banging bodywork is a given and excitement is guaranteed. #sidecarspeedway #mildura #victoria #australia #crash #sidecars #speedway #motorbikes #dirttrack #olympicpark
Red Bull organised the first ever Billy Cart Derby in Sydney’s Centennial park and 60 battle hardy crews took to the slopes to try and navigate downwards in the fastest time possible – although most were there only for the show! Beefy & Rob were there to capture the spirit and excitement of the day!
Beefy and Rob were guests at the Equine Lifestyle Festival held at Hawkesbury Showgrounds, north of Sydney. Dock Dogs is a new sport to Australia, however it is gaining popularity very quickly due to its fun and spectacular nature. Dogs jump as far or as high as they can into a swimming pool.
Beefy and Rob were guests at the Equine Lifestyle Festival held at Hawkesbury Showgrounds, north of Sydney. The first sport we saw was Mounted Games – a fast action, team based, relay type sport combining many races. Teams accumulate points according to where they finish in each race. The Nations Cup was being contested between Australia, New Zealand, USA and South Africa.
Beefy and Rob asked Melbourne Drift Trikes if they could come along and learn about Drift Trikes. It very quickly became the biggest event in Australia with sliders from all over Australia turning up to race, slide and skid down the hill. This spectacular extreme sport has to be seen to be believed!
